In this walk-through apartment in the heights of Belleville, the challenge was to bring natural light into the center of the home, now occupied by the bathroom.
On the west side, the removal of partitions in the entrance hall and kitchen creates a large living area, completely renovated in a contemporary and minimalist style. The kitchen counter is in Corian®.
The combined living room-kitchen area offers great freedom of use and better light circulation. Floor: AdLucem® waxed concrete.
To take advantage of natural light and bring it right into the heart of the apartment, all the bathroom partitions stop at the door, and are finished with glass all around the room.
In the bathroom, as well as in the kitchen-living room, the emphasis is on the raw appearance of the materials. Natural daylight brings a sense of fresh air into the room. Tiling: Cosma speckled blue by Made in Mosaic.
At dusk, the grazing sunset light reveal the space’s beauty in a whole new way.
On the east side, the choice of decompartmentalization continues with two rooms in one, now separated only by a removable sliding partition.
Room on one side…
Office or spare bedroom on the other…
Like a mirror, the two spaces respond to each other, each one of them offering generous storage space that can be modulated as one sees fit.
All that’s left to do is to put your things down…
