In Paris, this 80-square-meter Haussmann apartment has benefited from a complete renovation orchestrated by the interior design firm Studio Poësis, which has completely redesigned the layout. The result: clearer circulation, more light and a resolutely contemporary feel.
Previously little used, the entrance hall is now ultra-functional, with numerous custom-made storage units integrated on either side of the corridor. Farrow & Ball’s Card Room Green and Ammonite were chosen as the colors of choice.
In the reconfigured living space, natural light circulates easily thanks to the wide open spaces.
Maïa Descombes, from Poësis Studio, imagines a subtle balance between Haussmannian charm and contemporary aesthetics, as seen in the dialogue between the preserved mouldings and the custom-made joinery of the radiator cover, perfectly integrated into the wall niche.
In the same vein, Farrow & Ball’s Hague Blue and Strong White bring character and softness in an elegant play of contrasts. The Carmen suspension lamp by French brand Hartô, designed by Studio PaulinePlusLuis, blends lightly into the ensemble.
Fluidity is the watchword here. The kitchen blends discreetly into the space, its Petal fronts, designed by Bocklip, contributing fully to this harmony.
The wood furniture in the dining room is a natural match for the bespoke herringbone parquet flooring in raw oak. Studio Faro Lab’s Oslo wall light blends with equal finesse above the Silestone Miami White quartz worktop.
Optimization and disappearance go hand in hand in the master bedroom: custom-made joinery incorporates storage units and also conceals the air-conditioning unit above the bed. Check wallpaper, by Coordonné, blends in with intensity between the two.
The guest room doubles as a TV lounge and a study. The latter is adorned with a Tiptoe base, whose hue dialogues with the walls clad in Farrow & Ball’s Bancha color.
In the bathroom, the shower cubicle features concrete-effect tiles by Casalux, adding a touch of minerality to the room.
To accentuate the room’s depth, Casalux’s Peacock Blue Bristol wall tiles cover the upper part of the wall housing the basin.
