Right from the entrance, shades of gray create a soft, luminous atmosphere. The concrete ceiling is left exposed to preserve the overall coherence.
In a nod to the past, the wooden floorboards once lined the attic. They were brushed, treated and then hand-painted. Appliances are hidden behind full-height cupboards.
The surfaces with which the owner interacts are exclusively soft to the touch. Most objects are made of aged wood for warmth.
The kitchen is invisible: sleek yet ultra-functional, it doesn’t visually clutter the space. The extractor hood is thus integrated into the worktop.
The mineral, luminous ambiance is very soothing. The apartment is designed as an artistic cocoon.
This elegant overhead door provides access to the bedroom and contributes to the smooth flow of traffic.
The walls were hand-painted with a plaster containing glass sand. Its beautiful surface texture gives a sense of depth to the color.
Focus on Ukrainian artist Oleksandr Babak’s “Lilac”, set on a wooden bench custom-made by the architect.
Surprisingly, the room is extended by a bathtub that perfectly blends into the decor. The difference in floor height dramatizes its presence.
It’s actually a generous dressing room. Contrasting black tones enhance the perspective while adding geometric accents.
This leads to restroom, which is very evenly toned. The waxed concrete on the walls also covers the closet door, for a sleek effect.
In the shower, black fittings maintain the idea of contrast, subtly completing the design’s common thread.
