Nestled in the Armorica Regional Natural Park, the @douarenn cabin is at one with its natural surroundings.
The wooden frame was manufactured and assembled in the workshop. The roof is made from slate, in honor of Breton heritage, of course.
The kitchen was custom made. The olive green color of the cabinet fronts blends harmoniously with the wooden beams of the structure.
As soon as you open the French door, you’re on your way to a large terrace. Here, greenery is always just around the corner!
Wide openings ensure both an elegant indoor-outdoor relationship and a generous supply of natural light.
The minimalist layout has been designed with comfort in mind. All you have to do is stretch out your arm to choose your reading and enjoy the rural scenery.
Natural and warm materials are other key ingredients for guaranteed conviviality.
The bathroom carries on with the use of warm and natural hues. The brass faucet, for example, offers a delightful touch of sunshine!
Zoom in on the solid chestnut staircase custom-built by a carpenter. Its vertical slats act as a guardrail for the mezzanine above.
It’s also a piece of furniture, with cleverly designed storage compartments. An ingenious idea for optimizing the space usually lost under stairs.
The mezzanine plays the fun card: who wouldn’t want to lie down in this net? It’s always a sure hit with kids… and adults!
In the master bedroom, we love this natural wallpaper by @oberflex. It’s composed of dried rose petals, green moss and cornflowers on a non-woven linen wallpaper.
“In this cabin for 4, you can relax in front of nature and enjoy doing nothing. Writing, reading, taking photographs, listening to music, drawing, chatting, cooking, enjoying the moment, that’s what Douarenn offers.”
