45 m² terrace in the heart of Paris

The challenge: open up as much as possible to optimize natural light. 45 m² Paris, France 50 000 € Contemporary classic One-bedroom IM Architecture d'intérieur

This apartment, located in a building dating from the early 1970s in the heart of Paris's 11th arrondissement, is enhanced by its large bay windows - typical of that era - and its terrace accessible from all sides. To brighten up the 45 square-meter space, interior designer Isabelle Masson carried out a major decompartmentalization project.

The large living room brings together the kitchen, dining room and lounge, all of which benefit from the light coming in from the terrace.

The project highlights the terrace, designed as a natural extension of the interior, ideal for enjoying an outdoor space in the heart of Paris.

Clad in wood flooring by La Parqueterie Nouvelle and furnished with Adirondack armchairs by AMPM and House Doctor concrete pieces, this vast terrace offers an unoverlooked outdoor space, open to the sky.

After a breath of fresh air, back inside! Isabelle Masson has eliminated as many unnecessary partitions as possible, giving the space greater fluidity and allowing light to flow freely into the bedroom…

A resin floor by Marius Aurenti unifies the entire apartment. Its soft hue enhances the materials and furnishings, such as the kitchen with its countertops made from recycled materials by Le Pavé, combined with Smeg appliances.

The dining room is organized around a vintage Design Market table and stools from Galerie Mobler, complemented by a bespoke banquette upholstered in Shaun de La Madrid fabric, made by Émilie Van Roosebeke.

In the living room, the Maison de Vacances sofa and the Snoopy lamp by Flos create a warm, comfortable atmosphere conducive to relaxation.

The northwest-facing bedroom benefits from late-day light and a lovely view of the terrace.

A large sliding glass partition lets natural light into the shower room.

The shower room is decorated with a Tendance Céramique mosaic, Zangra sconces and a few vintage touches, for a soft, soothing ambience.
