A complete change of configuration for this apartment in a historic building in the center of Monza, Italy. Alice, owner and co-founder of the set design studio
Ortiche entrusted the architectural firm
Atelier Zero. To highlight the apartment's privileged view over the city, it was completely redesigned to reverse the living and sleeping areas.
Instead of opting for a classic division of functions, the decision was made to limit partitions and doors as much as possible. The result is a wonderful feeling of space and fluid circulation, as if on a theater stage, where one set follows another as if by magic. All this in a pop, colorful decor with 70's influences, where a certain nonchalance is part of the style. A slide towards
idleness, conducive to Alice's creativity and imagination. For it's often in the doldrums of boredom that ideas are born. Alice has therefore applied her stage design touch to our report, offering us a veritable staging of her interior. Like a domestic play where the most banal situations become a spectacle. Curtain up!
Here’s Alice, the owner, enjoying a moment of relaxation with her favorite pet in the soft (and completely reworked) light of her apartment.
