Camille is both architect and owner, having transformed a long-neglected Haussmann apartment into a luminous family cocoon between Parc Monceau and Place de Clichy, where period charm and contemporary comfort vibrate in unison.

When Camille lays out a plan, it’s to write her own story on it. That’s how, with Antoine and their newborn son Henri, she “swapped the 18th for the 17th arrondissement of Paris,” nestling her suitcases in this three-room apartment just a stone’s throw from the Saint-Lazare train station. A few days after the project was completed, Henri was born, as a nod to the revival of the premises.

The apartment, which was leased out for 30 years, had yellowed walls and cramped volumes. Yet Camille immediately saw its potential: good exposure, herringbone parquet flooring, moldings, elevator, serene view over a private residence. By rethinking the floor plan, she eliminated superfluous partitions. Rooms now interact in a fluid rhythm, bathed in through-light. The Haussmannian style has been tended with love: light colors highlight the patina of the wood, cornices have been revived, the balcony has been planted with greenery… Every evening, an orange sunset drapes the façade, “and every morning, the birdsong on the courtyard side serves as a natural alarm clock”, says the smiling architect-owner. The neighborhood’s art de vivre is also what the family savors, between food shops and friendly neighbors in a building where everyone knows each other.

In this revisited setting, the young family is already weaving its memories, proving that a fast-paced project can offer much more than just a space: a real home.
