A unique panorama, for an atypical apartment! In this 55 m² apartment overlooking Melbourne’s Botanical Gardens and Shrine of Remembrance, spaces are organized according to an unusual plan. The latter directs the eye and gives the viewer a feeling of constant expansion.
Once past the kitchen, you arrive in the living room and are introduced to its centerpiece: a large picture window offering a view into the distance.
Mirrors and other reflective surfaces are used strategically to create the illusion of space.
Here, all spaces are interconnected, in a style reminiscent of Japandi, a movement inspired by both Scandinavian cocooning and Japanese minimalism.
Set on a sisal floor contrasting with the parquet, and raised by a platform, the bedroom frames a spectacular viewpoint.
Behind the bed, an opening brings the landscape into the last room of the apartment, providing some borrowed natural light.
Also raised by a platform, the bathroom provides striking contrast with the rest of the apartment.
The bathroom creates a natural dialogue with the outdoors, thanks to the bluestone tiles covering the entire wall.
