The studio is designed as a vast open volume to take full advantage of the single source of natural light.
The light and neutral setting provides the perfect canvas for playing with colors and textures. In the living room, natural materials such as wood and touches of green are showcased.
The sleeping area is designed as an alcove, with a smoked and brushed larch wood platform. This contrasts with the rest of the room.
This alcove is a central element of the project. It structures the circulation and organization of the studio, while concealing numerous storage units.
To create a truly intimate cocoon, a semi-opaque curtain in shades of green camouflages the sleeping area.
The bed’s platform takes up the olive green color. A hue used as a common thread linking the studio’s different spaces.
Opposite the living room, the architect designed a storage space with a low cabinet to create perspective and let the light flow. Vegetation blends with modern furniture, such as the silver lamp by Louis Poulsen for instance.
Light-colored wooden seats, such as Jean Prouvé’s chair, resonate with the herringbone parquet and enhance the space with bluish accents.
Green makes a comeback, in the kitchen this time, with a curved shelf that creatively stands out in this bright white space.
Opposite the entrance, the shower room also benefits from indirect natural light, thanks to the alcove bedroom’s opaque glass wall. A clever idea to preserve the privacy of these two spaces.
In this white setting, green appears once again. It invades the shower area and the small beauty products niche is reminiscent of the curved shelves in the kitchen.
