Nestled in a 19th-century building completely renovated in the 1970s, this apartment in Paris’s 8th arrondissement has undergone a complete renovation…
Although the work is recent, a subtle disco influence seems to have been at work here…
In this long living room, the first thing you notice is the curved partition that partially delimits the spaces: living room on one side, bedroom-office on the other.
As aesthetic as it is functional, this typically 70s partition is full of surprises. First, it cleverly conceals a large built-in fridge!
On the living room-kitchen side, there’s plenty of storage space, concealed behind reflective walls and maximized by a bespoke unit designed for audiovisual evenings.
Covering an entire wall, mirror walls enlarge the space by reflecting natural light from the windows opposite them. Mirror ball inspiration?
On the other side, the curved partition reveals a second secret: it supports a desk at the back – or, should we say, a real workstation!
The principle of mirrors and storage units continues as in the kitchen-living room. To differentiate this second space, a terracotta pink hue is introduced here.
In the bedroom, bespoke storage units in the same hue act as headboards, with lights and built-in shelves.
Thanks to a semi-removable partition, this bedroom area can be isolated from the rest of the apartment if required.
Located on the side least exposed to natural light, the bathroom features light, fresh colors and a walk-in shower.
