We start at the foot of the 70s building: a number of architectural details give it a certain charm.
One of the sources of inspiration for the apartment is the red color of the framing and the Iranian travertine cladding.
After a seven-story elevator ride, here we are on the top floor. The entrance hallway has been removed, making the open floorplan… the very basis of the renovation project.
The kitchen becomes a nexus connecting to all the other rooms. A mirror reflects light and creates visual and social connections with the living room.
In the bedroom, waxed concrete gives way to the original checkerboard parquet.
Optimizing the bathroom creates an additional, flexible space.
A custom-designed wall unit links the bedroom to this annex, creating a seamless continuity.
This bookcase completes the list of built-in furniture, freeing up as much space as possible. Its facade takes on a red color…
…which is echoed in the bathroom, with its mix of terracotta and sand polished concrete. Ablutions are bathed in light thanks to the glazed wall.
The WC is distinguished by its bright color, a bold move that’s always welcomed in a space like this.
Light, natural ventilation and open perspectives are the assets of these directly connected rooms…
The flow leads naturally to the terrace, overlooking the rooftops of the 20th arrondissement.
