Right from the entrance, the tone of the visit is set: a functionalist layout that leaves plenty of room for the inhabitants.
The kitchen has been opened up to allow natural light to circulate more freely.
A much appreciated feature of 70’s buildings: large openings and balconies!
The kitchen is laid out as a linear piece of low furniture. A single grid of drawers accentuates the horizontality of the furniture.
Storage columns and appliances are discreetly tucked away to one side. A large mirror accentuates the feeling of space.
A curved partition now guides movement and connects the rooms to each other, for a smooth transition…
Mahogany in its warm hues is a building code. It becomes one of the common threads running through the design.
Priority to through-lighting, especially since the apartment has a second balcony in the bedroom!
To let in this warm light, the bedroom features a sliding door in hammered glass.
This material, combined with an opaline globe, is another nod to the seventies.
Once the door is open, cupboards elegantly accompany us into this final room.
A little pegboard fun for the headboard niches!
