A refined 46 m² cocoon in Paris

The challenge: creating a second bedroom and redefining the distribution of spaces 46 m² Paris, France 96 000 € Retro-contemporary 3 pièces Atelier Noun

In the 17th arrondissement of Paris, a 46-square-meter apartment was completely redesigned by Laura Markman's Atelier Noun. The project combines space optimization, the creation of a second bedroom and an upscale atmosphere.
Right from the entrance, the tone is set with a taupe hue adorning the corridor walls. There’s no door to the living room, instead an archway reinforces the cocoon effect and facilitates circulation.
Like the rest of the project, the living room favors neutral colors: the soft-lined Alba sofa by Westwing and the Benuta rug underline the attention paid to textures rather than chromatic intensity. Discreet alabaster sconces by Robin for Nedgis add a touch of minerality.

This spirit is carried through to the bespoke carpentry created by

EMC & Fustemberg, which maximizes storage space while integrating less aesthetic elements (radiators, TV boxes, etc.).

The woodwork extends all the way to the dining area, which is bathed in light thanks to its opening onto the charming pedestrian street rue de Lévis. The suspension light Forestier hangs above the room, complementing the Kymi plaster wall sconce.

The kitchen is now accessed from the living room, optimizing the layout.

In harmony with the other kitchen elements, the green Equipe Ceramicas backsplash by Casalux completes the ensemble.

The former bathroom has been transformed into a multi-purpose room that doubles as an office and spare bedroom, featuring a few touches of color: an orange armchair from Maisons du Monde and a cushion from French brand Madura.

In the primary bedroom, a large L-shaped armoire hugs the irregularity of the wall. Nearby, the headboard by Orac Decor combines sobriety and elegance.

As in the living room, bespoke woodwork designed by EMC & Fustemberg was conceived with ultra-functionality in mind. Paintings by Nadia Barbotin, from the Wilo & Grove gallery, introduce a breath of artistic air into the night space.

The bathroom, which takes up the space of the former storeroom and part of the primary bedroom, features Casalux tiles and two Flos wall lights from Nedgis.
