Although the archway wraps around the entrance, it immediately exudes a feeling of space and light, thanks to its direct access to the bright living room.
Similar to a colored base, the lower part of the wall has been deliberately left untouched, as a reminder of the successive interventions the apartment has undergone.
In keeping with this spirit of conservation, all the floors have been saved and now cover the living room like carpets in the ex-rooms, which are now open-plan.
The ceilings were removed to create two mezzanines and free up floor space. The owner, both architect and artist, can develop his creative spirit in complete freedom!
The revealed old beams give rhythm to the entire room without overloading it, thanks to the immaculate walls.
Technical elements such as the forestay or ventilation are also left visible to become an integral part of the decoration.
We absolutely love this way of framing a page of the apartment’s history!
The kitchen has been completely redesigned to accommodate a user-friendly island unit in stainless steel.
This material is warmed up by the constant presence of wood, notably through a storage unit inlaid in the wall, salvaged from the former shower room.
Access to this room is through a polycarbonate door that diffuses the apartment’s natural light.
Technical elements and metal coexist with warmer elements in this beautiful exercise in style that characterizes the apartment.
