The entrance hall leads to the kitchen, which has been converted from the former bathroom to open onto the living room.
The kitchen’s aged mirror backsplash adds depth to the room, almost evoking the reflection of a lake, while oak is omnipresent.
Used as a bench or shelf, it runs along the walls and ceiling like a winding mountain trail.
The dining room features a convivial bench seat reminiscent of a traditional chalet.
On the living room side, custom-made joinery covers the wall for storage and… a spare desk, ideal for working from home.
The beams of a partially-removed wall have been replaced to honor the building’s origins, and distance the entrance.
The latter benefits from the brightness of the bathroom thanks to a curved-glass partition.
The bathroom features the same green as the living room, using an organically sourced argile paint, as well as CasaLux tiles to give the room a mineral feel.
The bedroom continues to feature natural materials, with Arte raffia wallpaper and a linen bedding set.
Owen recycled steel wall lights, made in France, provide beautiful accent lighting.
Continuing on, a spacious dressing room houses clothes… and a washing machine! An open-worked mesh door lets you hang your laundry discreetly.
