The building: a red-brick structure typical of early 20th-century Australian architecture, with English Gothic Revival influences.
The original entrance door has been renovated in a beautiful cream color. The floorboards have been laid vertically. An invitation to enter the apartment. The eye is drawn to the back of the living room.
In the living room, typical Anglo-Saxon sash windows steal the show. They reveal a breathtaking view of Sydney and let in the bright light.
This large, made-to-measure white module is the backbone of the renovation. On either side, sliding doors cleverly conceal the bathroom and bedroom.
One word to describe this module? Functionality! When it’s time to work, it transforms into a workspace, complete with a tablet and integrated screen.
The module also incorporates a wine cellar. On the left, an open shelf showcases the owners’ objects.
As for the kitchen, it is sober and functional. The cupboard doors are mat black. They contrast with the other elements of the room, in wood and white.
The backsplash is made from a mirror. It enlarges the space. Here, everything is optimized and every small detail is ingenious!
On to the bedroom. Access is via the sliding door to the right of the module. A small step creates an impression of levels, resulting in a cocoon effect.
Zoom in on the door leading to the bedroom. On the left, a graphic glass-free opening enhances the impression of space and lets light into every corner of the room. At the far end, you can make out the custom-made storage drawers under the bed. Together with those in the hallway, they form a tiered composition.

These Tiptoe legs have traveled the world to support this beautiful table!
The bedroom is compact, but the architect has optimized every corner. Storage modules above the bed act as a wardrobe and create a headboard, without weighing down the space. And a small wooden niche adds warmth to the room!
To the left of the module, another sliding door leads to the long bathroom.
