Welcome to the capital of the Gauls and its Croix-Rousse district, complete with typical 19th-century Canuts buildings!
The new owners fell in love with the unusual volumes of this space and its large east-facing dormer window, which floods the large living area with natural light and provides access to the roof.
A game of contrasts is created between the beautiful herringbone parquet flooring in the entrance hall and the bold tiling in the kitchen. This creates a visually striking yet fluid transition between the two spaces, energizing the space in the process.
The open-plan kitchen plays a central role in this apartment, which has been completely renovated by the owners. Neither totally partitioned nor entirely open, it delimits spaces while retaining a beautiful sense of openness.
The custom-made beech and MDF bookcase creates a partition that allows light to flow through.
The credenza, made with hand-crafted zelliges, contrasts beautifully with the raw acacia countertop.
The herringbone parquet, sourced from an old mansion, adds warmth and character to the room.
This refuge has been planned as a soft, enveloping cocoon. The Cole & Son wallpaper perfectly matches the sloping wall, a perfect invitation to reverie.
Bright and airy, the living area also benefits from the warmth of the existing wood-burning stove, a real highlight for the owners during their initial visit. Cushions by Lindell & co, Caravane and Socialite Family. Coffee tables from Caravane Décoration.
Underneath the beams, which are left exposed for a touch of authenticity and character, the true master of the house oversees his domain…
Every square meter of the apartment has been carefully studied to optimize space, without compromising comfort or aesthetics. Duetto Socialite Family vase, Serax table lamp.
The bathroom follows the same style as the rest of the apartment. Its floor, identical to that of the kitchen, creates a sort of visual continuity.
The shower is adorned with sumptuous storm-blue zellige tiles from Ateliers Zelij, which blends harmoniously with the pleated oak fronts from Bocklip.
